OUR GROUP COMPLETING 9TH GRADE [AGE 15]

The boarding school’s last 4 grades [grades 9 through 12 compare to the US-high school system] had one class room per grade, and each class had a headmaster [Klassenvorstand]. Ours was Prof. Domitrovic. Upon his passing, someone found a few photographs of our class in his estate, as presented here.

In 9th grade, we were 21 students [19 shown here]. Of those we lost 3 [since they moved on] but gained Andreas Unterreiner in 11th grade. Missing: Dietmar Oberlechner | Reinhard Reinmueller

PLAYING THE VIOLIN IN THE SCHOOL’S CHAMBER MUSIC ORCHESTRA

The boarding school maintained a classical music orchestra. Shown here is the chamber setup with me [Franz Leberl] on the violine [see the insert]. The violinist with the back to the photographer is Reinhard Pflueger. We were directed by one of our music teachers, Prof. Drusovic.
The picture is from about 1961.
